Research Ethics Committee

The Research Ethics Committee of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) was established and operates based on the decision of the Department's Assembly (53/04-07-2017). Its purpose is to provide ethical and deontological assurance at the level of reliability for research projects conducted within the Department, in accordance with the operating regulations of the Ethics and Deontology Committee of Research at AUTh (EΗΔΕ). Through the committee, it is ensured that a research project is designed to be conducted with respect for fundamental human rights, the value of human beings, autonomy of participating individuals, privacy, and personal data, as well as consideration for animals, natural, and cultural environments.

Interested researchers from the Department, seeking approval for their research from the bioethics committee, are required to submit:

  1. A completed and signed research information form.
  2. The consent form of the participants, taking into account the recommendations provided in the accompanying documents of the page.

The application is signed and includes the details of the faculty member of the Department supervising the research.

Kinesiology | Postgraduate program S.P.E.S.S Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Serres

The postgraduate program (Master's) in "Kinesiology" is the only one in Greece in this field of study. Established in the academic year 2005-6, the Master's program aims to respond to international competition and align itself with the rapid developments in Sport Science and technology.
